| Nera Worldphone Marine | |
Price: $5,495 |
Once again, Nera is showing its commitment to the maritime world by introducing the smallest satellite telephone - the Nera WorldPhone Marine.
|
|
|
With the new Nera WorldPhone Marine, all pleasure boats can afford
satellite communication. By connecting a standard fax machine
and a PC, you have a complete mobile office at sea. The unique
user interfface of Nera WorldPhone Marine makes the phone easy
to operate. A 5 kg antenna makes the installation swift and easy.
Only a single thin coaxial cable connects the telephone to the
antenna.
Operating in the Inmarsat-3 Spot Beam System, the Nera WorldPhone
Marine offers digital voice, facsimile and data communication.
Its size and price has come down to a level which makes it ideal
and attractive for all categories of marine crafts. As distinct
from the conventional VHF or cellular telephone, the WorldPhone
Marine has worldwide coverage with the exception of the polar
regions and some remote ocean areas. |

Inmarsat SDM |
Nera ASA is the world's
largest supplier of Inmarsat equipment. Nera has an unbroken track
record since 1978 in the Inmarsat field. The product range has
been expanded over the years to both A, B, C, M and Aeronautical
systems. The technology used in these systems has been supplied
to several of the leading teleadministrations in the world with
15 years support guarantee. This commitment is an insurance to
Nera's customers that our products will be given the full support
in the future also.
Nera ASA is one of
the few real veterans in the field of maritime communications,
having successfully designed, developed, manufatures and supplied
such equipment since the end of World War I.
The company is not
resting on its laurels though. Its Inmarsat terminals of the Saturn
B and M family have consolidated Nera's leading position in the
market. Its newest model, the portable Nera WorldPhone has become
an even greater success and the maritime version is now being
introduced.
